PRI in the Media

China Behind the Scenes: PRI President Steven Mosher appeared on The World Over with Raymond Arroyo to provide insight into China’s position in the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Another Invasion: As the Ukraine holds out against Russia, CCP dictator Xi Jinping waits in anticipation to see how the war plays out. It was revealed that Russia and China colluded on this invasion of Ukraine. If Russia succeeds, China may attempt a similar move against Taiwan.

Deepening Depopulation

Running Out of Children: Thailand faces demographic decline from years of equating babies with poverty. Now their government has turned to pro-natal propaganda to encourage the birthrate. They are recruiting celebrities and influencers to push this message in a desperate attempt to boost the birthrate.

Opportunity Costs to Blame: Economic reasons have provided a convenient scapegoat for the falling US birthrate for many years. Now this argument is receiving pushback. As cultural values shift and the perception of a substantial opportunity cost grows, the birthrate continues to fall despite higher incomes and standards of living.

Communist China

Fighting for Equal Rights: The chained woman of Feng County, Yang Qingxia, has become a symbol of the women’s rights movement in China. Activists and internet users have banded together to call out the maltreatment of this woman, along with many others trafficked throughout the country.

UN Misdeeds

Pro-life Participation: For years UN agencies have excluded pro-life and pro-family groups. These groups have been labeled “anti-rights” by opposing progressives. To combat this targeted exclusion, over four-hundred organizations are coming together to push for pro-life and pro-family representation at the upcoming UN forum.

Unlikely UN Envoy: Recent controversy in China over women’s rights has stirred up an overlooked UN appointment from almost a decade ago. In 2014, the wife of Xi Jinping, Peng Liyuan, was appointed as a UNESCO special envoy. This same woman who ordered the abuse of Uyghur women became a promoter of global female empowerment. Activists are now calling for her immediate termination.

Pro-Life Around the World

Forcing Abortion: The Biden administration has threatened the Dominican Republic with retribution if the country fails to adjust their laws on abortion and homosexuality. The country could face diplomatic sanctions if it does not align its laws with the gay agenda and pro-abortion lobby.

“The Biden administration is openly violating U.S. law, by trying to impose abortion and homosexual policies on countries around the world,” says PRI President Steven Mosher.  “The people of the Dominican Republic have pro-life laws in place because they democratically enacted them.  The U.S. is supposed to encourage democracy around the world, not undermine it.”

Newly Permanent Policy: DIY at-home abortion, initially a temporary COVID-19 measure, has been made permanent in Wales. This announcement went against the majority, which public consultation revealed to favor ending DIY abortion. It also clashed with England’s recent decision to set an end date to their own easy-access abortion policy.

Pro-Life on the Home Front

Biden vs. DeSantis: After criticizing pro-life legislation in Florida, President Biden was bashed back on Twitter. DeSantis’ spokeswoman Christina Pushaw called Biden out for his implied complacency with late term abortion. The Biden administration has refused to admit where they draw the line on abortion, causing the assumption that they support the act until the moment of birth.

Humanity in Healthcare: The Kentucky House of Representatives has passed a pro-life bill barring abortion pill distribution without an in-person medical examination. According to LiveAction.org the bill also, “requires the dignified disposal of fetal remains, updates abortion reporting requirements, updates current parental consent guidelines for minors who want an abortion, and affirms no taxpayer funding of abortion.”

Good News

Life-saving Surgery: A rare and delicate surgery saved the life of baby Rylan Drinnon. Diagnosed in-utero with a heart tumor, doctors performed life-saving surgery by partially removing him from the womb at 26-weeks, surgically removing the tumor, and placing him back in the womb for a remaining 10 weeks.

Quote of the Week

“Whether or not it comes from a fully developed organ, a heartbeat is still a heartbeat, and a new human life still has as much value as a more developed one.”
