New Board Member Welcome: PRI Welcomes Prof. Charles Rice

Population Research Institute is happy to announce that Prof. Charles Rice has agreed to join our Board of Directors. His tenure, we are sure, will have a positive effect on our international work.

Charles E. Rice is Professor of Law at the University of Notre Dame Law School. His areas of specialization are constitutional law, jurisprudence and torts.

Prof. Rice practiced law in New York. He taught at New York University Law School and Fordham Law School before joining the faculty of Notre Dame in 1969. He served as State Vice-Chairman of the New York State Conservative Party and as a member of the Education Appeal Board of the US Department of Education as well as a consultant to the US Commission on Civil Rights and various Congressional committees on constitutional issues. He is an editor of the American Journal of Jurisprudence and is a trustee of Franciscan University of Steubenville, of Ave Maria School of Law and of the Eternal Word Television Network. He is a director of the Thomas More Center for Law and Justice. Among his books are The Supreme Court and Public Prayer; The Vanishing Right to Live; Authority and Rebellion; Beyond Abortion: The Theory and Practice of the Secular State; No Exception: A Pro-Life Imperative; 50 Questions on the Natural Law; and The Winning Side: Questions on Living the Culture of Life.
