Huffington Post Attacks PRI, PRI Responds with Video

Front Royal, VA, 12/04/08 – The pro-life Population Research Institute (PRI) has released a short video responding to a vicious attack by the Huffington Post.

The article, entitled "The Pro-Lie Movement Targets Hillary," was written by Cristina Page and appeared in the Huffington Post on December 2, 2008. It specifically targets PRI’s work against the UNFPA; calling PRI Bush’s "fanatical base," whose "swirly-eyed lunacy" led a gullible administration around by the nose.

PRI’s video response, which features PRI’s president, Steven W. Mosher, appeared on YouTube late in the evening of December 3. It is available on PRI’s YouTube page ( www.youtube.com/colinpri1) or by visiting PRI’s web site,
www.pop.org. According to Mosher, the Huffington Post did not even attempt accuracy in their portrayal of PRI, the Bush administration, or the situation with the UNFPA.

"The Huffington Post never attempted to contact us for comment," said Mosher. "They mention nothing of our video and audio evidence of coercion in China, nor do they bring up the fact that the State Department sent its own team into China to verify our findings. Our straightforward video is an effort to set the record straight, as well as to point all interested parties to our new video documentaries on the subject, which were launched, ironically, on the very same day that Cristina Page wrote her article."

"Ariana Huffington," Mosher concluded. "Your readers deserve better."

PRI’s video series on the UNFPA is available on their YouTube page,
www.youtube.com/colinpri1, and their full printed mission report is available on their web site: www.pop.org.
