Steve Mosher Testifies on Population Decline in Eastern Europe at Senate Hearing

On Monday, May 20th, Steven W. Mosher testified on the impact of U.S. funded anti-natal programs before the
Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe. Mosher is an
internationally recognized authority on population issues, as well as an
acclaimed author, speaker, and president of the Population Research
Institute (PRI).

Steve Mosher testified that, given the precipitous decline in the
birthrates of Eastern European countries, all anti-natal programs funded
by the United States should immediately be replaced by pro-natal
programs. “It doesn’t matter whether we call them reproductive health
programs, family planning programs, or population control programs,”
said Mosher. “They all have the same effect: they force down the birth
rate in countries that are already dying. Such programs are only making
a bad problem worse.”

This hearing was open to the public. More information can be found on the
Committee’s web site here.
