PRI in the Media

No Future for the CCP: China’s real estate sector is collapsing, contributing to an economic crisis, which is just one of the many issues that the CCP is facing. In this exclusive interview on EpochTV’s American Thought Leaders, PRI President Steven Mosher detailed how the CCP has created all of the major problems China is facing today. Its issues stem from the corruption of the CCP and the wanton destruction of human capital in the last century; an estimated 400 million babies were killed as a result of the one-child policy. The CCP crippled their own future and can only watch as their country crumbles.

Mr. Mosher stated, “By killing off half of the last two generations, the Chinese Communist Party has killed off its future, literally. The only future that a family has is its children, and the only future that a nation has are its families and its children. The Chinese Communist Party, by far the biggest killing machine in human history, has killed off China’s economic future by means of 35 years of the one-child policy.”

Masonic Leader at the Vatican: The Sixth forum of the “Laudato Si’ Communities” was held in Verona, Italy, earlier this month. This is a series of meetings devoted to propagating Pope Francis’ views on what is called “the climate emergency.” Even more surprising than the “apocalypse now” message being shared this year were some of the attendees who presented. Mr. Mosher shared his shock that  Vice President of the Club of Rome, Carlos Alvarez Pereira, was invited to present on the “Great Reset.” The Club of Rome is a Masonic Lodge, known for lying about overpopulation and promoting radical population control policies that violate human rights.

Deepening Depopulation

An Update on Japan: Earlier this month, the New Jersey East Asia Economic Mission visited Japan. The 63-member delegation was shown all the great aspects of the country, but the Japanese government saw fit to brief the group on the country’s struggles as well. The most pressing of which is the severe demographic crisis that the country is facing. In the briefing, the ministry members covered some of the most troubling stats. These included the following:

  • Ten percent of Japanese citizens are 80 and older.
  • Almost 30 percent are 65 and older.
  • In the next 50 years, Japan’s population will decrease by 25 percent and the number of retirees will equal the number of workers.
  • In 2022, births fell to below 800,000—a record low.

Though the exact motives for Japan’s candor on this topic are unknown, these stats should serve as a warning for the United States. The States face a similar, though not as far gone, population situation, which is masked by net immigration.

Communist China

Xi Addresses Women: Xi Jinping has decided to take a personal approach to motivate women to get married and have children. He recently discussed the role of women with the new leadership team of the All China Women’s Federation, which operates under the CCP. After this, Xi shared his comments with the state news agency saying women play a critical role and must establish a “new trend of family.” Doing a good job in women’s work is not only related to women’s own development, he said, but also related to “family harmony, social harmony, national development, and national progress.” It is necessary to “actively cultivate a new culture of marriage and childbearing and strengthen guidance on young people’s view on marriage, childbirth, and family,” he said. The pressure is now on Chinese women to heed their president for the good of the country, as he implies. Only time will tell if Xi’s words will have any impact.

“Here we see the first rumblings of what will surely be a political campaign to force women to marry and bear children,” says Mr. Mosher. “The Women’s Federation was for decades the enforcement arm of the one-child policy, forcing women to have abortions and be sterilized.  Now, mark my words, it will be retooled in the opposite direction, to force women to marry and bear children.”

CCP Church Represses Falun Gong: Decades ago, while it was an organization excommunicated by the Vatican, the Patriotic Catholic Church issued several statements supporting the cruel repression of Falun Gong. At the time, this was not surprising because the organization was viewed as a puppet of the CCP. Two weeks ago, the China Anti-Xie-Jiao Association, which claims to be the largest anti-cult organization in the world and is directly controlled by the CCP, republished a 2001 statement by the then-president of the China Patriotic Catholic Association. However, the Association explicitly mentioned that the statement has been supplied to them by the Patriotic Catholic Church, which still stands by it. The fact that the statement is decades old is now beside the point. By allowing its republication, the Patriotic Catholic Church is currently complicit in Falun Gong oppression.

“The so-called Chinese Patriotic Catholic Association–a front group run by the Chinese Communist Party’s United Front Department–always does the bidding of its masters,” says Mr. Mosher. “In this case, it is once again endorsing a brutal homicidal crackdown on the Falun Gong, a group that practices ‘truthfulness, goodness, and tolerance.’

“The Falun Gong’s real crime is that, unlike the Patriotic Catholic Association, it rejected efforts by the CCP to control it,” Mosher continued, “And for this reason, the CCP, which rejects the true and the good, decided it must be destroyed.  I wonder if the Vatican will have anything to say about this latest scandal.  I suspect not.”

UN Misdeeds

Food as a Weapon: The Committee on World Food Security has made a concerning decision that may allow countries to use food shortages as a weapon. The Committee adopted a set of gender guidelines that make the terms “sexual and reproductive health” and “multiple and intersecting forms of discrimination” part of national and international food security. The guidelines will be used by the World Food Program, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, and other UN agencies involved in food security. The inclusion of these ambiguous terms will allow wealthy progressive countries and UN agencies to leverage international food programs to impose abortion and homosexual/trans issues. Traditional countries successfully fought to take out references to abortion and homosexual/trans issues in the guidelines, but these vague terms still made it through.

“The birth rate in poor countries is not coming down fast enough for the population controllers,” says Mr. Mosher. “While in the past, women have been denied medical care unless they accepted chemical or surgical sterilization. Now entire peoples will be starved unless they follow the orders of their new colonial masters: legalize abortion and gay marriage, and teach little boys that they may be girls (or vice versa).”

Science Gone Mad

Uteruses for Trans: Within the last ten years, successful uterine transplants have become a reality. From 2014 to 2021, 90 of these surgeries were undertaken and subsequently, 50 children were born. Today, this medical accomplishment is being twisted for different purposes. Scientists are looking into the possibility of implanting a donor’s uterus into a transgender person, individuals who were born male and are surgically altering their bodies to look more female. One Swedish professor of obstetrics and gynecology even claimed that this could be accomplished within the next five to ten years. These surgeries would be immoral, but secular scientists are already claiming that it would be unethical to deny transplants to “transgender women.” These scientists are so obsessed with unnatural experiments that they ignore the damage they will do.

Pushing the Limit: Top UK scientists are calling for the 14-day limit on embryo research to be doubled to 28 days. They claim that lifting this ban will lead to major scientific breakthroughs. As usual, scientists simply want to push the limits, especially when it comes to human experimentation. As Right To Life UK spokesperson, Catherine Robinson, said, “Human embryos should never be experimented on.” These immoral experiments should be ended, not expanded. One of the scientists involved in this push stressed that no one is suggesting growing the embryos to make babies. But once the limit is increased, it is only a matter of time before the scientists will want it increased again. At the end of the day, scientists unchecked are capable of great evil.

Pro-life Around the World

The Rich Target Africa: Abortion groups are stepping up their efforts to spread abortion across Africa. This development came in conjunction with the 20th anniversary of the Maputo Protocol. The Protocol, ratified by 44 African governments, mandates the legalization of abortion on broad grounds, including in cases where the pregnancy is causing mental distress to the mother, and to recognize abortion as a human right. It can be used to justify the legality of abortion in almost any situation. In celebration of this “milestone,” international pro-abortion organizations have announced their plans to accelerate their “sexual and reproductive health” work and move beyond changing national laws. Many abortion groups use the 2016-2030 Maputo Plan of Action as a framework to “mobilize” NGOs, civil society, media, and government officials to support the “improvement of sexual and reproductive health and rights in Africa.” This will be a battle for the pro-life movement across the African continent.

A Pro-Life Recommitment: Ambassadors, members of Congress, foreign government officials, and women’s health advocates from around the world gathered on Capitol Hill this week to recommit to protecting the rights of women and unborn children. The occasion was the third anniversary of the Geneva Consensus Declaration (GCD). A coalition of 36 nations — and growing — all committed to the sovereign right of nations to adopt policies that uphold pro-life and pro-family values. Together these countries stand against the relentless, global pro-abortion movement. Unfortunately, the United States no longer actively supports this effort, despite the presence of several Republican leaders. Shortly after taking office, the Biden administration withdrew the U.S. from the GCD. Hopefully, under future presidents, the U.S. will be able to rejoin the coalition.

Pro-Life on the Home Front

Mainstream Media Misleads: The Society of Family Planning’s #TheWeCount project released new abortion figures that show an alleged increase in the year post-Dobbs. Mainstream media outlets are using this as evidence that pro-life laws are ineffective, but they haven’t stopped to check whether these figures are accurate or not. First, there was a key methodological shortcoming with the #WeCount estimates. The project compared a year of post-Dobbs abortion data to only two months of pre-Dobbs abortion data. A smaller sample size is more likely to be inaccurate. Mainstream media outlets also ignore good data that shows how enacted pro-life laws have saved lives. But downplaying the impact of pro-life laws has always been a long-term strategy of supporters of legal abortion and their allies in the mainstream media.

“State-level data from Texas and other states shows definitively that the number of abortions is falling,” says Mr. Mosher. “But it is not surprising that pro-abortion groups, assisted by their allies in the mainstream (lame stream) media, would claim otherwise.  After all, they also claim–-falsely–that an unborn child is nothing more than a ‘blob of tissue.’”

Hold the Line: In a first “test” of his leadership as Speaker of the House, Rep. Mike Johnson, R-LA, is facing pressure to back down on his strong pro-life stance against a radical measure that would allow abortion-causing drugs to be shipped nationwide. House Republicans are currently split on the issue, which involves a food and agriculture funding bill. Johnson plans to bring the agriculture bill to the floor by November 13, as part of his plan to avoid a mid-month government shutdown. It remains to be seen whether Johnson will cave to appease moderate pro-choice Republicans or uphold his pro-life views.

A Hard-Hitting Abortion Ad: Created Equal, a pro-life organization, has released a hard-hitting ad exposing how Ohio’s Issue 1 will hurt women through unregulated abortion. The group is urging Ohioans to vote no to Issue 1. If passed, Issue 1 would enshrine abortion in the state’s constitution. This would prevent the state from restricting abortion access before fetal viability, which is generally considered to be between 22 and 24 weeks gestation. Created Equal’s ad shows how dangerous this will be for women. Abortion always has at least one casualty, the baby, but the public often ignores the injury and deaths that occur among the mothers as well.

Good News

A Hero Heads to Heaven: This week we celebrate the life of Wanda Poltawska, all the good she did in her time on Earth, and the repose of her soul in heaven. Wanda is known for being a Holocaust survivor and a model of feminine genius. She was a doctor, as well as a wife and mother. In 1956, she became friends with a Polish priest, Karol Wojtyla, who would go on to become Pope John Paul II. It is well-known that she heavily influenced both Love and Responsibility and Theology of the Body. It is impossible to cover all the amazing work she did during her life in such a short summary. On the evening of October 24th, this remarkable woman passed away at almost 102 years old.

Quote of the Week

“It’s sad that motherhood has been denigrated by our society and looked down upon in some ways; it is the most important vocation, motherhood and fatherhood. That’s what keeps humanity going, and that’s where the next generations are best formed: in loving homes and loving families.”

~ Archbishop Naumann, source
