PRI in the Media

Bully of Asia Back Again: PRI President Steven Mosher appeared on the LA Catholic Morning Podcast to discuss the revised version of Bully of Asia. This new version details the major political moves the CCP has made in recent years and their impact.

The Demographic Winter: Newsmax referenced PRI President Steven Mosher in this piece on the ongoing demographic winter. As global birth rates continue to fall leaders, including Pope Francis, are taking heed.

Deepening Depopulation

Bringing Babies into a Broken World?: A “reigning sense of moral responsibility” has hijacked millennials decision to have children. Studies have shown that this generation is having fewer children for an increasing number of reasons. The pandemic has added to this list of political, economic, and environmental concerns.

Communist China

The UK’s Ultimatum: MP Nus Ghani implored British Parliament to take a stand against China for its Uyghur abuses. The Uyghur tribunal concluded in December 2021 that genocide was occurring. This provides Parliament sufficient evidence to determine recourse during the next two months.

“The CCP is forcibly aborting and sterilizing Uyghur women while encouraging the Han Chinese majority to have more children,” says PRI President Steven Mosher. “This is one reason why the Trump administration declared that what China is doing to its Uyghur minority is genocide. And the Biden Administration has—somewhat reluctantly—gone along. The U.S. needs other countries such as Great Britain to join us in condemning what is an obvious, blatant, ongoing genocide.”

Christians Seeking Asylum: Sixty Chinese Christians fled to South Korea to escape CCP brainwashing. The group may face forcible repatriation to China, as their asylum applications have been unsuccessful thus far. Their fate is currently in the hands of the South Korean High Court.

“Christians of all denominations are being persecuted in China under the Communist Party’s new restrictions on the religious activities,” says PRI President Steven Mosher. “Parents are forbidden to bring their own children to church, and the schools teach the official state ideology of atheistic Communism, which is a religion in all but name.”

Standing up to China: Enes Kanter Freedom has urged the nation to recognize the dangers of the “brutal dictatorship” in China. The NBA player has taken a strong stance against China’s involvement in the Olympics. He has used his platform to shed light on the abuse of the Uyghurs and encouraged other athletes to do the same.

“The CCP released a deadly virus on the world,” says PRI President Steven Mosher, “and we are not only not demanding reparations for the deaths and economic losses, we are rewarding them by allowing the Winter Olympics to be held there.  If there are no consequences for causing a global pandemic, I am afraid that they will at some point in the future do it again.”

UN Misdeeds

Increased Contribution: The US has made a $37 million increase in funds to UNICEF initiative Education Cannot Wait. This program promotes contraception, abortion, and “comprehensive sexuality education” to children globally. Within these categories, practices such as masturbation and homosexuality are encouraged.

Science Gone Mad

Hesitancy with Trans Teens: International experts released a new set of guidelines for transgender healthcare. The guidelines grow lax for adults, but a debate rages among doctors over the treatment of teens. Medical experts recognize the damage done to teenagers in the name of “treatment”, some of which is irreversible.

Pro-Life Around the World

EU Abortion Rights: French President Emmanuel Macron has called for the addition of abortion to the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights. His speech, met with applause, reflects the view of the majority of parliament. The recently elected parliament president, Roberta Metsola, has publicly supported this pro-abortion stance.

Culture of Life: Before the Walk for Life West Coast, Archbishop Cordileone addressed creating a culture of life in his homily. He shared that this is achievable through living as true Christians. We achieve this through a life of virtue, guided by the beatitudes.

Deceived: For the first time in an Asian country, a woman is suing a sperm donor for lying about his background. For these lies, the woman has abandoned the child she carried and demanded $2.8 million in recompense.

Pro-Life on the Home Front

Georgia’s Safeguards: Georgia’s legislature has put forth the Women’s Health and Safety Act. This legislation prohibits abortion-by-mail and strengthens informed consent for women. This came as a response to the Biden administrations move to weaken the regulations that limit mail-order abortions.

West Virginia’s Ban: West Virginia lawmakers have introduced a fifteen-week abortion ban based off of the Mississippi law. It would prohibit abortion after this point except in cases of medical emergency or severe fetal abnormality. Lead sponsor of this bill, Del. Ruth Rowan, stated that West Virginia has an obligation to protect the unborn.

South Dakota’s Progress: South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem has introduced two new pro-life bills. The first to ban abortion after a fetal heartbeat is detectable and the second to ban abortion-by-mail. Her goal is to protect both the unborn and their mothers. Together, if passed, these could “ban almost all abortions in the state.”

Good News

A Little Fighter: A premature baby girl born too small for dolls clothes is thriving at five-months old. Baby Lacey was born thirteen weeks early, weighing only one pound and one ounce at that time. Thanks to the lifesaving intervention of midwives and doctors, she will live a long and happy life.

Quote of the Week

“We will continue to work to build a culture of life, by advocating for life, by providing women in crisis pregnancies love and support and all that they need to know they are valued, respected and have friends walking with them in their time of distress, giving them the opportunity to make the happiest decision of all, the decision for life.  As we do so, we will have plenty of opportunity to live the last Beatitude.”
