PRI in the Media
The Struggle to Survive: The CCP is enforcing another lockdown and the latest victims are the citizens of Shenzhen. Scared for their lives, videos of these citizens protesting their lack of food and money have gone viral. The Zero-COVID policy is taking a huge toll with little success to show for it, as many, including PRI President Steven Mosher, predicted it would.
“The reason why China is continuing to pursue ‘Covid Zero’ has less to do with stopping the spread of disease than it does with controlling the population,” says PRI President Steven Mosher. “The Chinese economy is imploding. What better way to cope with the massive unrest that will follow than to lock everyone in their homes on the pretext of stopping Covid. Americans may be tightening their belts, but many tens of millions of Chinese may soon not be eating at all—and not just because they are on lockdown.”
TikTok’s Control: In a follow-up to PRI President Steven Mosher’s call to ban TikTok, Fox News released an article revealing the many conservative voices being silenced by the app with no explanation. Conservative individuals and groups that do receive an explanation are accused of “hate speech” or other such policy violations for their vocal support for constitutional rights or anti-communist sentiments.

COVID Controversy
Life Expectancy Drops: PRI President Steven Mosher responded to the latest CDC data on American life expectancy with the following:
“The CDC is still misleading Americans about Covid and the vaccine. In a recent report from Medscape lifespans in the U.S. have dropped to 76 years, down from 79 just a couple of years ago. The vaccine is certainly a major contributor to this decline.
But not according to the CDC. About the decline in deaths, the report claims that ‘COVID-19 played a major role, with excess death from the coronavirus contributing to half of the decline during the past 2 years,’ but some of these deaths should properly be attributed to the vaccine.
‘Unintentional injuries’—another large category—include a large number of ‘sudden adult death syndrome’ cases, where otherwise healthy adults, including athletes, drop dead in the days, weeks, and months following the injection.
Finally, the report notes a major increase in ‘deaths from heart disease,’ much of which is also clearly related to myocarditis and pericarditis related to the vax.
The CDC has become a marketing tool of Big Pharma.”
Deepening Depopulation
New Plan for Parents: South Korea is considering a budget proposal that would increase the benefits for couples with newborns. These efforts to boost the fertility rate mean more money for new parents for a longer period. Elon Musk commended these efforts, pointing out how necessary these measures are as the country is projected to “lose about half its population roughly every generation.”
“Perhaps because he actually makes things—spaceships, cars, satellites—Elon Musk understands that people are the ultimate resource,” says PRI President Steven Mosher. “And he understands that South Korea is desperately short of this resource, because its birth rate is among the lowest in the world. Still, Seoul’s plan to give new parents a monthly subsidy for two years will probably, to judge from the effect of similar subsidies in Europe, not be enough to turn things around.”
Communist China
President Xi’s Reign: The CCP faces a historic election this October when it will be decided whether Xi Jinping will serve a third term or not. The dictator expects to continue his reign, having refused to name a successor, and is on his way to becoming the longest serving head of state in the history of the People’s Republic.
Locked in the Asylums: Last month, the Safeguard Defenders, an NGO that focuses on human rights issues in China, released a report on the CCP’s use of mental hospitals to detain and torture dissidents. Psychiatric facilities are used to make critics of the CCP “disappear” for periods ranging from months to years. During that time, these individuals are tortured and often left physically or mentally scarred.
UN Misdeeds
Leading the Fight: A Nigerian delegate took a strong stance against abortion pressures from the U.S. and E.U. at the most recent General Assembly. The delegate stated the truth by saying, “Each country should decide its abortion laws at the national level without external interference. Countries should help women avoid abortion and provide mothers and their children with health-care and social support.”
“Nigeria—Africa’s most populous nation—has been a target of the population controllers for almost a half century,” says PRI President Steven Mosher. “Henry Kissinger’s infamous National Security Study Memorandum 2000 from the mid-seventies singled out Nigeria and a dozen other countries, and led the US Agency for International Development to push abortion, sterilization, and contraception programs on the people there. Glad to see that Nigeria is pushing back.”
Sex-Ed Seduction: Due to constant UN political pressure, ten African countries committed to an initiative designed to overhaul the national approach to sexual education. The five-year plan gives the UN power to spread its radical sexual agenda across the countries’ educational systems.
Report Released: The UN High Commissioner of Human Rights finally admitted the truth of the CCP’s genocidal treatment of the Uyghurs, only minutes before leaving office. Michelle Bachelet waited until the absolute last minute to share the truth, fearful of CCP backlash after months of Beijing lobbying against the report’s release.
“The United Nations is finally admitting that China is targeting Uyghurs,” says PRI President Steven Mosher, “But it is too little and too late. Two years ago, then Secretary of State Mike Pompeo labeled China’s actions what they are: genocide and crimes against humanity. It’s a systematic effort by the Chinese Communist Party to systematically destroy the Uyghur history, language, culture, and people. Genocide, in other words.”
Science Gone Mad
Risks with Frozen Embryos: Swedish researchers released findings that children born from embryos that were frozen and thawed before implantation may have higher cancer risk, specifically “leukemia and tumors of the central nervous system.” Prior studies had already suggested that there are short-term health risks for children born from frozen embryos, but the potential long-term effects were unclear until now.
Pro-Life Around the World
Offered Harm, not Help: A Canadian Forces veteran sought help for PTSD and was directed to euthanasia. The veteran was “deeply disturbed” after his experience with the Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), where he was given the “unprompted offer” of assisted suicide as a potential solution. This harmful interaction affected his and his family’s well-being, and set back the progress he’d had in dealing with his PTSD.
Pro-Life on the Home Front
Infanticide in CA: California legislators have sent multiple pro-abortion bills to Gov. Gavin Newsom to sign, including one that essentially decriminalizes infanticide. Assembly Bill 2223 allows anyone to perform an abortion at any point in a pregnancy, while also prohibiting any investigations on whether the baby is born alive or not.
Double-Teamed Lawsuit: The State of Indiana is facing a pro-abortion lawsuit from ACLU and Planned Parenthood. The lawsuit claims that Indiana’s incoming abortion ban “strips away the fundamental rights of people seeking abortion care in Indiana in violation of the State Constitution.”
Ideology Wins the Vote: Legislation to make California a sanctuary state for transgender youth successfully made it through the Senate, despite testimonies of the dangers of irreversible gender-affirming treatment for minors. Senate Bill 107 is now in Gov. Gavin Newsom’s hands to either veto or sign into law.
Protections for Pregnant Women: On Labor Day, U.S. Bishops released a message in support of the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA). This act would protect short-term, reasonable accommodations for pregnant women in their places of work. The PWHA passed the House last May and is now under the scrutiny of the Senate’s health, education, labor, and pensions committee.
Adapting to Challenges: Already battling misinformation, pro-life pregnancy centers are now adapting to combat Yelp and Google’s latest censorship techniques. Using the opposing side’s language against them, some pro-life pregnancy centers are now offering “abortion consults” (while clearly stating that they do not provide abortions.) This wording allows the centers to offer alternative options to women who are actively seeking an abortion, as well as provide ultrasounds and resources for community support.
Good News
Happy Birthday Isla: A couple from Norfolk are celebrating their daughter’s second birthday, made extra special by the odds she overcame to get there. Isla Tobias was born in 2020, sixteen weeks early, and weighing “less than a homemade sponge cake” at 558g. She required immediate, major surgery, and her parents were warned to enjoy what time they had since she only had a 10% chance of survival. Today Isla’s mother shares that her baby is, “doing amazing. She’s so cheeky, so funny, so happy.”
Quote of the Week
“Our aim as Catholics has always been, and remains, to build a society in which abortion is unthinkable. This unique moment necessitates a society and an economy that supports marriages, families, and women; it demands that all of us reach across political aisles and work diligently to reframe social policies in ways that are pro-woman, pro-family, pro-worker and, thus, authentically pro-life.”
