PRI in the Media

Smear Campaign Against PRI: Population Matters, a pro-abortion organization, released a negative review of Christian and Catholic organizations that have advanced the pro-life movement. The organization’s smear attempts, referencing PRI as “misleadingly named,” have revealed its agitation at the success that our nonprofit, along with others like it, has achieved.

“PRI is praised for its effectiveness in the pro-life arena by the abortion movement,” says PRI President Steven Mosher. “They should know. We fight them every day.”

COVID Controversy

Corruption of Compassion: The New Zealand government has declared that a patient may be eligible for assisted dying in certain COVID-19 cases. This interpretation of euthanasia law allows the suicide of individuals suffering from COVID-19, despite the reports of recovery even from patients with severe symptoms.

A Religious Record: Nineteen federal agencies plan to track employees that have religious objections to federally mandated vaccines. This move was announced last Fall and would involve recording a large amount of data and personal information for an undetermined amount of time.

Deepening Depopulation

Babies for the Planet: Remy Verlyck, CEO of Familles Durables, has made a move against the tide and called for couples to have more children. According to Verlyck, recent studies have revealed that “eco-anxiety” is a contributor to the decision not to have children. However, he says, this is despite the fact that fewer children would have “virtually no effect on the environment.”

“We hear a lot about overpopulation,” says PRI President Steven Mosher. “But the real threat to future well-being is not too many people, but too few people. Many countries in Europe and Asia are now experiencing population collapse. That is the real crisis.”

Communist China

Smartphone Security Flaw: Suspicious security flaws in a smartphone app required for all participants in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics have been discovered. These flaws allow the Beijing Olympics organizers to intercept calls and data, as well as get alerts if a word from the “censorship keyword list” is used.

“Is anyone surprised that Communist China’s Olympic software is actually designed to spy on users?” asks PRI President Steven Mosher. “The CCP is desperate to control any mention of its human-rights abuses against the Uyghurs and other Turkic minorities and the quashing of democracy and civil liberties in the former British colony of Hong Kong. This is just one more reason why we should boycott the genocide games.”

Containing the Fallout: In attempts to reverse the damage done by the one-child policy, the CCP has shut down many of its abortion clinics throughout the country. Less than 10% of the abortion clinics that were operating in 2014 are still in business.

“China’s Communist leaders are becoming increasingly desperate to raise the birth rate,” says PRI President Steven Mosher. “Soon abortion will be declared illegal — not out of any moral concerns, but because for the CCP population is an element of national power.”

Fauci Investments Exposed: Dr. Fauci’s 2020 investment portfolio has been published, revealing definite ties to large Chinese companies. Obtained and published by Sen. Roger Marshall, Fauci’s investments totaled $10.4 million by the end of 2020.

“I believe that Anthony Fauci and the others who funded Gain of Function research in China, violated every public health principle over the past two years, and pushed an experimental vaccine on the American people need to be held to account. This must never happen again,” says PRI President Steven Mosher.

Science Gone Mad

Can’t Beat Biology: Idaho State University athlete, Madison Kenyon, has opened up about the frustrations of competing against men who identify as women. Kenyon concluded, “It’s reducing athletic competition to two categories: men’s and co-ed. It’s taking away women’s chances not only of winning, but even of fairly competing in sports.”

No Dignity in Dying: The College of Psychiatrists of Ireland released a paper detailing the incompatibility of euthanasia and good medical care. The college set out key issues, including the placement of vulnerable individuals at risk and the inability to control the spread of euthanasia once concessions have been made.

Pro-Life Around the World

Advocating for More Children: Pope Francis came forward with a strong pro-family message in his address on St. Joseph. The Holy Father implored couples to consider having or adopting more children, and included these choices as being “among the highest forms of love.”

“A lot of what we call DINKs — dual income, no kids — are going to be unhappy that the Pope pointed out the obvious,” says PRI President Steven Mosher. “Namely, that one’s natural or adopted children are an expression of the ‘highest form of love,’ and that pets are a poor substitute. I once went up to a woman pushing a baby carriage in Germany to congratulate her on her newborn and found that the carriage contained — a puppy. How sad.”

Chile Makes History: Chile’s president, Sebastián Piñera, signed a bill into law legalizing same-sex marriage. This attempt to put all relationships on “equal footing” is yet another sign of the nation’s shift to a more liberal view on sociocultural issues.

The Real Heroes: Pope Francis granted an interview to Vatican Media with the conclusion of the year of St. Joseph. He commended parents for the difficulties they face for their children, calling them “heroes” for their courage and love.

Pro-Life on the Home Front

Renewed Efforts: A videotaped criminal child abandonment in New Mexico has renewed Safe Haven efforts in the United States. A Safe Haven for Newborns, a group which seeks to save newborns from abandonment, has expanded their network both on the ground and across social media to raise awareness for women in need.

New Chief Legal Advisor: President Biden has nominated Sarah Cleveland to the position of chief legal advisor to the Department of State. Prior to being appointed to this position, Cleveland was best known for her abortion advocacy on the UN Human Rights Committee.

Good News

Little Life Saved: Two teenage boys rescued a newborn baby from freezing to death on a -4° F night in Siberia. The baby girl suffered no frostbite or injury, and is now in the process of being adopted.

Quote of the Week

“True social justice is about building a society where people can be good, a society where people can love one another and take care of one another, where they can find God and know that they are made for heaven. And true social justice can never be obtained without simple human kindness, compassion, and forgiveness.”
