PRI in the Media

Chinese Reproductive Ramp Up: PRI President Steven Mosher joined Molly Smith on her radio show “From The Median.” In it he outlined the graphic history of population control in China, and predicted that CCP policy to reverse the negative effects of decades-long birth control will ultimately fail. Banner for Unification: A group of everyday pro-lifers have started the Pro-Life Flag Project. Partnered with a multitude of pro-life institutions, including PRI, they aim to create a flag that unifies the worldwide pro-life movement. Read Here

Demography is Destiny

Population Control Promotion: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that families in Uttar Pradesh, India should only have two children. A recent bill drafted by the state’s Law Commission includes indirect measures to drive down the already-falling birth rate. Read Here

UN Misdeeds

Population Alarmism: The UNFPA claimed to stand against fertility rate “alarmism” in a recent release regarding World Population Day. The organization pointed out the historical abuses that have happened in the past as a result of it, ignoring their contribution to the population panic in the past and presently. Read Here

“The pandemic has caused a global baby bust,” says PRI President Mosher.  “Some countries are so worried about this that they are considering adopting pro-natal policies.  So what does the UNFPA–the biggest population control organization on the planet–do?  It warns us that ‘Historically, alarmism over fertility rates has led to abrogations of human rights, including coercive family planning and sterilization.’  This is rich coming from the organization that for decades has raised money by scaring people about population growth while publicly supporting China’s vicious one-child policy.”

47th Human Rights Council: The United Nations has continued their push for global abortion and LGBT rights, this time at the 47th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva. However, they face pushback from several UN members who are exposing these threats to life and family. Read Here

Communist China

Birth Policies Scrapped: After decades of birth control policies, most notably the one-child policy, China has officially scrapped childbirth limits. According to CNBC, the Chinese Communist Party announced that “families in China can now have as many children as they like without facing fines or other consequences.” But they haven’t stopped there. The CCP also announced their intention to “ease financial burdens and social restrictions” that surround having children. Those with children under the age of three will be exempt from personal income tax and given preferential treatment in regards to housing. Read Here

“The CCP’s ‘One-Child Policy’, with all its variants, which ran for four long decades and cost hundreds of millions of lives, is now over,” says PRI President Steven Mosher.  “The pendulum is now beginning to swing in the other direction.  ‘Have as many children as you like,’ the regime orders.”

Nuclear Threat: The CCP released a video threatening Japan with nuclear war if the country interferes in China’s handling of Taiwan. The CCP’s Minister of Foreign Affairs stated that China’s handling of Taiwan is a solely “internal” affair and they would not allow “interference” from any other country. Read Here

“For many years, China has had a ‘no first use’ policy when it comes to nuclear weapons,” says PRI President Mosher. “In its anger at Japan’s announcement that it will defend its democratic friends on Taiwan, if the island is attacked, the Chinese Communists have now threatened not only to nuke Japan in the event of a conflict but to conquer it, divide it into four separate countries, and set up puppet governments in each. Now you see what I mean by entitling my book ‘Bully of Asia’.”

America’s Farms Under Siege: In the last decade, Chinese firms have bought approximately 192,000 agricultural acres in the United States. Now, both Republican and Democrat congressional lawmakers want to crack down on these international purchases, which may pose a national security risk. Read Here

“China’s grand strategy is to become the dominant power in the world by moving all industrial production to its shores,” Says PRI President Steven Mosher. “The US ‘role’ in this China world order is to be China’s bread basket, feeding China’s factory workers, providing raw materials for its industry, and consuming the cheap products that result. That’s why they’re buying huge swathes of American farmland, and that’s why these hostile acquisitions must be stopped.”

Global Computer Intrusion: Four nationals and residents of the People’s Republic of China were charged by a federal grand jury in San Diego for a global hacking campaign between 2011 and 2018. The release stated that the campaign involved hacking into “computer systems of dozens of victim companies, universities and government entities in the United States and abroad” and was “focused on information that was of significant economic benefit to China’s companies and commercial sectors”. Read Here

“The Chinese Communist Military and intelligence agencies have–literally–battalions of hackers diligently hacking away at American private, public, and government-run companies,” says PRI President Steven Mosher. “Anything connected to the internet, such as voting machines, can and will be hacked by China in an effort to steal information, affect negotiations, and perhaps even change votes. The indictments of four Chinese hackers is a feeble response by the Biden Administration. The policy we need to adopt is a hack for a hack.”

Science Gone Mad

Artificial Eggs from Scratch: Scientists of the Kyushu University in Japan have successfully created artificial mouse eggs from stem cells, adding to their success in creating artificial sperm a decade prior. This could become a gamechanger for infertile or same-sex couples in producing embryos using stem cells, when lacking natural sperm or eggs. Read Here

Pro-Life Around the World

Resisting Assisted Suicide: A group of 175 healthcare professionals have issued an open letter to Scotland’s Health Secretary, standing against an assisted suicide bill in the works. The bill is currently tabled, but a consultation on its contents is expected to take place this Fall.  Read Here

Pro-Life on the Home Front

Hyde Left Behind: The appropriations committee officially approved the 2022 budget, including a note that the “discriminatory” Hyde Amendment had been removed. In a statement on the approval of this budget, Congresswoman Delauro expressed pride over the repeal of Hyde, claiming that it is the “best thing we can do to support our mothers and families.” Read Here

Ideological Colonialism: The Biden Administration has announced a “laundry list” of commitments to the Generation Equality Forum. These pledges cater to the organizers of the forum, as well as to the demands of abortion activists and feminists in the United States. Read Here

Quote of the Week:

“If you look for truth, you may find comfort in the end: if you look for comfort you will not get either comfort or truth — only soft soap and wishful thinking to begin with and, in the end, despair.”
