PRI in the Media

Doomed and Dangerous:
PRI President Steven Mosher reviewed the new three-child policy that Xi Jinping has instituted in China. This policy was put in place in response to birth rates that have steadily fallen, despite the end of the one-child policy in 2016. The CCP can see the disastrous effects of decades-long population control, now that China is “filling more coffins than cradles each year.”

It is doubtful that raising the birth limit to three will have much effect. Mosher points out, “There are simply too few young women of childbearing age remaining to offset the coming population crash.” This is yet another ripple effect of the previous one-child policy. Women in China who are of childbearing age have responded negatively to the policy. They are discouraged by the burden of caring for aging parents on top of one or two children. Many Chinese also work a “996” schedule, meaning 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM six days a week, leaving little to no free time for family life, such as helping elderly parents or raising children. The question remains, if the Chinese people do not voluntarily raise the birth rates, will Xi Jinping force the production of new humans? Read Here

China Closing In:
PRI President Steven Mosher appeared on the World Over, hosted by Raymond Arroyo, to break down the recent developments in China. These include the welfare of the Church in China, surprising policy change, and relations with Taiwan. The CCP has upped their persecution of Christians, especially Catholics. Mr. Mosher notes that CCP officials confiscate Bibles, destroy crucifixes, and fine the “offending” Catholics. Although major members of the Catholic Church are calling for a dialogue with Chinese officials, it is obvious that the CCP is focused on crushing the presence of the Catholic Church in China.

The Party recently made it legal for married Chinese couples to have up to three children. The CCP is giving the Chinese people the chance to voluntarily conform to the Party’s will. But this policy has the potential to become compulsory. Mosher wrote in detail on this policy in the above article. He shared with Arroyo, “I don’t think we are going to be in the voluntary state very long… It [the CCP] would not hesitate to force women to have children, so we may be seeing forced pregnancy”.

In the final minutes of their interview, Arroyo and Mosher discussed the tensions with Taiwan. Taiwan exists as the “model of democracy for China”. It provides hope for those living on the mainland under the thumb of the CCP. It is unclear whether the United States will continue to support Taiwan under the Biden administration. Watch Here

Exposing Origins:
PRI President Steven Mosher appeared on The John-Henry Westen Show to discuss last year’s exposition of the COVID lab leak. As covered previously, he was censored for broaching the lab leak theory in an opinion piece for the New York Post. After forty years of experiencing and observing the CCP, Mr. Mosher simply realized at the time that “all roads lead to the Wuhan lab.” Now his theory is quickly becoming fact.

The lab leak theory, kept under wraps for so long, has now come out for several reasons. New evidence made its way to the surface. Even Fauci, who had tried to cover his own mistakes by denying the lab leak theory, could no longer feign denial. The mainstream media has openly covered it now, due to the change in presidential office. Their “hatred turned to ignoring real evidence” during the Trump administration has subsided with the White House under new management. This “abandonment of reason and logic in favor of prejudices and political biases”, as defined by Mr. Mosher, skewed the public’s view for over a year. Watch Here

Demography is Destiny

Cuban Crisis:
Cuba has suffered under Castroism.  It is yet another country experiencing a demographic crisis. With the lowest fertility rate in Latin America, more people die than are being born. This is below replacement level, with little hope that there will be enough babies to one day replace the elderly. The latter of these two age groups accounts for almost a quarter of the Cuban population.

Compounding this, the people of age to bear the next generation are leaving the country as fast as possible. Emigration has risen. The “Economically Active Population” is desperate to leave the poverty-riddled country. According to journalist Roberto Quinones, Cuba is very quickly “losing the most precious asset that every society has: its human capital”. The country will continue to fail if the dictatorship does not realize that economic freedom, “and all others to which every human being has a right”, needs to be restored. Read Here

Land of the Setting Sun:
Japan has become, in the words of PRI President Steven Mosher, the “Land of the Setting Sun.” Similar to many countries around the world, birth rates fell during 2020. The year not only recorded 24,407 less births than the previous year, but was also “the first time Japan has recorded less than 900,000 births since the country began keeping records”. The capital, Tokyo, recorded a record low birthrate at 1.13. A major contributing factor to these figures has been lack of job opportunities. This shortage discourages marriage and, subsequently, children.

On top of having too few babies, the WION Web Team claims Japan “has the highest number of elderly population in the world.” At least 28% of Japan’s population is 65 or older. These statistics have earned it the title of “super-aged society.”  Read Here

Future Fertility:
The official U.S. birth data of 2020 revealed that births have continued to fall for over a decade. The birth rate currently sits below replacement level. Professors Kearney and Levine of Brookings Institution tentatively explained how this drop may not indicate negative fertility rates in the future. They suggested that birthrate decline may be due to women delaying childbirth, but ultimately having the same average number of total children as previous generations. But this compensation of births later in life is not guaranteed. It is just as likely that fertility postponed is fertility denied.

An argument for rebounding U.S. fertility rates was made, but after examining the data the professors admitted, “expect that U.S. birth rates and total completed fertility rates are not likely to rebound any time soon.” The pandemic exacerbated fears of instability that had already convinced young couples to postpone childbearing indefinitely.

“The U.S. needs a robust set of pro-marriage and pro-family policies if we are to offset the continuing decline in the birth rate,” says PRI President, Steven Mosher.  “Sheltering young couples who are willing to marry and have children from income and Social Security taxes would be a good start.  Until the Biden administration is history, however, nothing positive is going to happen on the pro-marriage, pro-family front.” Read Here

Population Control

Two-Child Taxation:
In the past several years, India has adopted Income Tax rules geared towards motivating couples to only have two children. A “Population Control Bill” was introduced in Rajya Sabha in July 2019. While there is no “blanket ban” on having more than two children, this bill proposed incentives to keep families small. Many available tax benefits are only applicable for small families. Parents can receive tax benefits for claiming tuition fees of their children, but it is for a maximum of two children. Parents can claim exemptions for education allowance, but this too is restricted to two children. The list goes on of restricted exemptions designed to persuade couples not to have large families.

PRI President Steven Mosher noted, “The United States has been pushing India to adopt population control programs since way back in the 1960’s. But India needs to be very, very careful in this regard. Right now India’s future economic prospects are brighter than China’s. Why? Because India’s birth rate is still above replacement while China’s is only half of that.” Read Here

Communist China

Genocidal Reprise:
The CCP has shifted the violence of population control, previously inflicted on the Chinese people, to the Uyghur Muslims. Independent researchers, such as Adrian Zenz, have examined the available data and projections of a shrinking Uyghur population, and are attempting to alert the world. The genocide of the past year continues, while the CCP lies through their teeth. China’s Foreign Ministry claimed the “so-called” genocide of the Uyghurs was “pure nonsense” and “a manifestation of the ulterior notices of anti-China forces in the United States and the West”. The reality is that the CCP has set goals to “dilute the Uyghur population, increase Han migration and boost loyalty to the ruling Communist Party.” The same government that perpetrated a decades-long genocide of the unborn through the one-child policy, will do the same to the Uyghur people.

“China’s slow-rolling genocide in Xinjiang is designed to eliminate the Uyghurs as a people over time,” says Mosher. “Uyghur women are being aborted and sterilized in large numbers. Uyghur children are being taken away from their parents and put in Chinese-language boarding schools, while Uyghur young people are being sold as slaves to factories producing goods for export. The world needs to speak up against Uyghur genocide, before this ancient people is eliminated from the face of the earth by the brutal Chinese Communist Party.” Read Here

Remembering Tiananmen:
The anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre passed this week. Authorities banned the annual memorial vigil for the second year in a row. Initially COVID-19 concerns were cited as the reason. It has now been clarified that the CCP regards the memorial as “an unauthorised political act”. These restrictions are part of an ongoing effort to erase the massacre from history. The new generation does not know the brutal history, and if they do, are taught that “the crackdown was necessary”. Read Here.

Groups found ways around the ban to memorialize the murdered student protesters. Messages were worn or held saying “There is nothing 2 say” and “Don’t go to Victoria Park and light candles” respectively. Artists used their talents to perform in remembrance. Candles were placed around the city, in front of statues and on gates. All of these were small rebellions against the CCP. These citizens remember what the government is trying to force them to forget. Read Here.

“The Tiananmen Massacre was far worse than anyone imagines,” says PRI President, Steven Mosher. “I interviewed survivors of the massacre who had escaped from China immediately after the event. I travelled to Paris, France to do so. They told me that at least 10,000 students and others had died in the streets of Beijing on June 4th and the days following. Worse yet, they told me that all of the wounded were later hunted down and executed to kill all of the eye witnesses to the massacre. Today, the Chinese Communist Party tries to deny that a massacre ever happened. But we in the West and the Chinese people must never forget what this terrible regime did to its own people.”

UN Misdeeds

UNICEF’s Pro-Porn Report:
UNICEF released a report claiming that there is no harm in allowing children to be exposed to pornography. Taking it further, the institution argued that restricting porn could violate a child’s human rights. The report described pornography as necessary, so children have access to sexual health and reproduction education, as well as sexuality (including LGBTQ+) education. The institution claimed that even if prevention from porn-viewing was necessary, age verification on websites would be counterproductive, as children could turn to pornography on social media instead and spread the content through messaging apps. The harmful effects of pornography on children was downplayed and ignored. The release of this report raised the question of whether UNICEF is acting in accordance with their founding vision at all anymore.

PRI President Steven Mosher highlighted, “This United Nations agency demonstrates once again why U.S. taxpayer funds should not be going to UNICEF and many other UN agencies. Pornography is degrading, demeaning, and destroys the innocence of children. Exposing children to pornography is a form of child abuse.” Read Here

Science Gone Mad

Chimera Saga Continued:
Republican efforts to ban U.S. taxpayer funding of human chimera experiments around the world have failed for a third time. Senator Mike Braun’s amendment to the Endless Frontier Act was shut down by a united front of 49 Senate Democrats. Braun argued for the sanctity of human life and called for the complete prohibition of unethical experiments involving animal-human hybrids.

These endeavors have been a headline since Salk Institute’s Dr. Belmonte claimed to have successfully produced chimeric human-monkey embryos. Scientists continue to push the flimsy reasoning that these experiments are necessary. Their goal is supposedly to one day be able to grow human organs from these chimeras to “prolong life contra naturam”. They ignore the moral conundrum completely. These are steps in the direction of completely dissolving personhood in the name of scientific progress.

“Calling these human-animal hybrids a chimera masks the evil that is happening here,” says PRI President, Steven Mosher. “Pieces and parts, including internal organs, scalps, and other things are being harvested from aborted babies and combined, sometimes surgically, sometimes genetically with animals for the purpose of experimentation. Such experiments should be banned as they violate human dignity.” Read Here

Pro-Life Around the World

Repealing Eugenic Abortion:
In 2019, MPs Wroblewski and Uscinski led an initiative to question the legality of abortion for eugenic reasons. Their group, composed of 119 deputies from the Lower House of Poland, presented an appeal before the Constitutional Court to criminalize abortion performed on those grounds. Abortion itself has been recognized as a crime in Poland since 1990, though there were two exceptions to the law. It was allowable if the pregnancy was a threat to the life of the mother or if it was the result of a crime. In 1993, eugenic grounds for abortion were added as the third exception. This allowed for mothers to abort if prenatal tests suggested a high possibility of terminal illness or deterioration of the baby.

After over a year of deliberation, the Constitutional Court determined that allowing abortion on eugenic grounds violated the Constitution of the Republic of Poland. It states, “The Republic of Poland will guarantee the legal protection of the life of every human being.” As of January 27th, 2021 abortion for eugenic reasons was made illegal. Read Here

Canada’s Shame:
Canada weighed in on the issue of sex-selective abortion and found it acceptable. MP Wagantall put a bill before the Canadian Parliament that would have criminalized sex-selective abortion. It was overwhelmingly voted down. Parliament members seem willing to allow abortion in any capacity for fear of supporting the Pro-Life movement.

This attitude is detrimental for countries like India, where sex selective abortion has created a sum of approximately 22 million “missing” baby girls. Worldwide the figure is around 140 million, according to the United Nations. If the Canadian government finds sex-selective abortion allowable, other countries may follow suit or, in the case of India, continue on their destructive path. Read Here

Pro-Life on the Home Front

Majority Reject Abortion:
A nationwide poll found that a majority of likely voters oppose abortion after 15 weeks. The poll was released by the pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List. It also found that voters are more likely to support Republicans that back a 15-week limit than Democrats who support unlimited abortion. This finding gives hope to the Pro-Life movement, now that “politically, the pendulum has swung decisively in our direction”. Read Here

War of Women’s Health:
The Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA) of 2021 was reintroduced to Congress. It aims to allow abortion for any reason and at any point in the pregnancy. The bill’s sponsor admitted that this move was prompted by the SCOTUS announcement to take up a case involving Mississippi’s ban on abortion at 15-weeks. Although a majority of American’s do not support abortion-on-demand, the WHPA calls abortion “essential” for women’s healthcare and insists that it should be funded by taxpayer money. This is a direct attempt to, in one fell swoop, wipe out parental notification laws, mandatory ultrasounds and waiting periods, and allow the murder of babies even before and after they are viable outside the womb.
