PRI in the Media

Covid Coverup:
PRI President Steven Mosher addresses the issue of Biden’s disastrous behavior regarding the COVID-19 origin investigation. President Biden shut down an investigation pursuing the origin of the China Virus, started by previous-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. In light of the mounting evidence that the virus was created in the Wuhan Lab, a theory previously dismissed as conspiracy, Biden’s actions look more suspect than ever. It calls into question his motivation for assisting China in this coverup.

The administration scrambled to improve the narrative, announcing a 90-day investigation into the origins. This is obviously a move to improve face, rather than truly discover the truth of the matter. Mr. Mosher says that the president should be demanding reparations from China for the 600,000 dead Americans and the estimated $20 trillion in economic damage. But with Biden’s focus on protecting his son’s questionable endeavours, the United States will see no reparations or receive any answers regarding COVID-19. Read Here

Fauci Funded Research:
Mr. Mosher joined Fox News Host Tammy Bruce on the “Ingraham Angle” to discuss Fauci funding research in China. Alongside Dr. Scott Jensen, Mr. Mosher detailed the role that Fauci played in gain-of-function research and how this contributed to the pandemic. Fauci may have had good intentions behind this research, seeing “a potential cure for emerging diseases”. But through the eyes of the CCP this research was a doorway to “new and deadly pathogens” that would be “useful militarily”. Transcript: Read Here

Faux Fact Checking:
Facebook has halted their censorship of COVID-19’s origin. This is an “abrupt about-face” for the company, which was previously suppressing anyone who questioned the “official narrative”. Mr. Mosher is mentioned as one who was “fact-checked” early on, in February of 2020. Read Here

The social media platform will not be giving out apologies to those that were incorrectly censored. The New York Post has included him as someone deserving of an apology. Mr. Mosher was censored and denounced over a speculation that is looking more like the truth everyday. Read Here

Demography is Destiny

Demographic Winter:
On May 27th-29th, the Family Science Alliance, European Family Science Society, and Batthyany Society of Professors hosted a hybrid virtual/physical international conference in Budapest. The event titled “Demography and the Culture of Relationships between Couples” was centered around their motto: “The demographic crisis can only be solved by overcoming the crisis in family life”.

The conference tackled one root cause of the demographic crisis that Europe is rapidly moving towards–“the disintegration of marriage and the family”. These two institutions have been under attack for decades. Recent demographic statistics are a testament to this. If governments of the EU take no decisive action to promote these institutions, a demographic winter will overtake many parts of the world. Read Here

Population Bomb Bust:
“The Population Bomb”, one of the most unfortunately influential books of the 20th century, has turned out to be a bust. In 1968, the author, Paul Ehrlich, predicted “doom and gloom” that would envelop the whole world for the rest of the 20th and the then-looming 21st century. These predictions included worldwide starvation and ecological deterioration as a result of humanity “reproducing like Norwegian field mice”.

Fifty years later, Ehrlich’s predictions could not have been more off. All over the world, fertility rates are falling. Instead of running out of resources, men and women found innovative ways that have provided the world with more “food, oil, water, and clean air than ever before in the history of the planet”. The effects of Ehrlich’s work were not negligible though. In the last five decades, population control programs motivated by Ehrlich and his followers’ fear-mongering have crippled nations’ growth around the world. Read Here

Population Control

Justice in Peru:
Almost two decades later, former Peruvian President Alberto Fujimori is on trial for the part he played in the human rights abuses perpetrated against Peruvian women in the 1990s. Hundreds of indigenous women in poor communities were forcibly sterilized in unsanitary conditions, with many dying from subsequent infections.

PRI has been pushing for recompense for these women since the initial abuse investigations into these programs began. Though what these women have lost can never be truly returned to them. Director of PRI’s Latin American Office Carlos Polo continues to work with victims of these abuses, fighting for justice.

Carlos Polo, Director of PRI’s Latin America office, provided the following statement: “We at PRI have always looked for justice for these Peruvian women. But also, we are very aware that radical feminist groups use these cases to push their pro abortion agenda. Right now, we are about to choose a new President in Peru. These pro-abortion groups are supporting a Marxist, communist and pro-terrorist candidate, Pedro Castillo, because he is running against Keiko, Alberto Fujimori’s daughter.

Victoria Vigo is a victim, with 25 years fighting not only for justice in her case but in  the cases of thousands of women sterilized against their will under the Fujimori Administration. “Our pain has always been used when there is a political need… in order to win votes. We are victims and, in that way, they re-victimize us. And in the end, they leave us aside. Up to date, more than 25 years”, Victoria said. “You (PRI) invited us to the United States Congress to denounce what was happening here with the USAID funding. (Because of that) the cases dropped a lot in 1998. Perhaps many do not remember that there was a large participation of pro-life groups”, she concluded.

The Latin America Office of PRI will keep fighting the enemies of life and protecting the human rights of these women despite the political circumstances.”

Mr. Mosher adds, “It’s taken twenty-plus years but some of the three hundred thousand victims of Peru’s forced sterilization program, that we exposed in the late 90s, may finally get justice.” Read Here

Communist China

Three Child Policy:
Reggie Littlejohn, Founder and President of Women’s Rights Without Frontiers, released a response to President Xi’s new three-child policy. Littlejohn pointed out that this policy shift is no reason to celebrate. The CCP still employs the “womb police” to assist in finding illegal pregnancies to terminate. Even if they recognize that the birth rate needs to go up, they will still forcibly abort single women and fourth children.

Littlejohn states, “the CCP will never end coercive population control… It is social control, masquerading as population control. Terror is the purpose of the policy”. Like the team at PRI, Littlejohn wishes to see an end to all coercive population control. It would take the fall of the CCP for that wish to come true.

Mr. Mosher adds, “As of right now, single mothers, Uyghur and other minority women, and those with physical or mental handicaps are still being forcibly aborted and sterilized in China. Add to this women who are pregnant with their fourth child, who under the three child policy will still be hunted down, fined, and aborted. You can see that coercion in China’s population control program will continue, despite the new policy.” Read Here

Controlled Christians:
Bishop, priest, and seminarians were arrested in north-central China for supposedly violating new regulations on religious affairs. The bishop and priests were using an abandoned factory as a make-shift seminary. This violates the CCP’s new rule that makes it “illegal to perform religious activities… in places not registered or controlled by the state”. It is likely that these men are now in solitary confinement and forced to participate in “political lessons”.

This punishment from the CCP is strikingly similar to “the detention and persecution of ethnic Uyghur Muslims and other banned religious and cult groups”. The CCP is obviously making moves to crush any semblance of autonomy left in Christian groups, especially targeting Catholic and Protestant churches. This increasing violence sparks the fear that “Christians in China might be next in line for “re-education” like Uyghur Muslims”.

“Police in parts of China are going door-to-door in search of signs of the Catholic faith”, says Mr. Mosher. “If they find crosses, statues, or pictures of the pope, the owners are fined and the objects are seized and destroyed. Persecution of the church in China is intensifying.” Read Here

Science Gone Mad

Endangering Embryos:
The International Society for Stem Cell Research has released new guidelines “that say it could be permissible to study living human embryos in the lab for longer than two weeks”. In decades prior to this, scientists did not keep human embryos alive in their labs for more than 14 days. This practice was aptly named the “14-day rule”. The time limit was established for a “variety of reasons”, including the benchmark being “around the time when an embryo starts to develop the first signs of a central nervous system”. Now, universities and other research institutions that previously adhered to the rule may adopt this new guidance instead.

This announcement has pitted scientists on two opposing sides. The reality of allowing this is “any sign of respect for the human embryo is gone”. Without a limitation, one scientist points out, where do you stop the development? Few seem concerned that they have already been creating tiny humans in their lab and now are considering growing these humans further, potentially into viability.

“It’s bad enough to allow unborn babies to be aborted”, says Mr. Mosher. “But it is even worse to grow babies in test tubes for the purpose of experimenting on – and killing – them. Research on human embryos in the United States should be prohibited at any stage of development.” Read Here

Incentivizing Euthanasia:
The normalization of organ donations from euthanasia patients has increased over the years. Today, doctors no longer consider whether organ donations should be allowed from these patients, more concerned with “whether the kill should begin at home or in a hospital”. The concern is no longer for the patients, but for the organs and the treatment of the two procedures as “separate entities”.

This practice could push mentally ill patients towards assisted suicide if they think their organs would better serve in someone else’s body. In these cases, “organ donation could be an inducement to euthanasia”. These patients need counseling, not an incentive to end their life. Read Here

Pro-Life Around the World

Courageous Coalition:
An alliance has formed in the EU, between Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. Together they have launched the Coalition Pro Familia, which aims to “protect and promote the family”. These countries are well aware of the importance of family, an institution that has been attacked before “under the yoke of Soviet rule”.

Hungary spearheaded this coalition. The country “stands like a lighthouse, not only for Europe but for the world”. They not only vow to protect the institution of marriage, but also acknowledge that family is the key to “the nation’s survival”. The country’s administration has unequivocally put what truly matters first. Read Here

Pro-Life on the Home Front

Biden & Hyde:
President Biden elected not to include the Hyde Amendment in his final budget request to Congress for the 2022 fiscal year. This Pro-Life policy was put into law in 1976, barring federal funds from being used for most elective abortions in Medicaid. This highlights the sad reality that “this administration does not value human life”. Biden, previously supportive of the Hyde Amendment in the 1990s, has caved under the pressure of pro-abortion advocates. Yet through all this, he claims to be a practicing Catholic. Read Here

Archbishop Naumann, U.S. Bishops’ Pro-Life Activities chairman, released a statement in response to Biden’s actions. He granted that there are beneficial aspects to Biden’s budget, but indisputably states that “Congress must reject the Administration’s proposal to subsidize the deaths of unborn children”. These babies are the most vulnerable and unprotected piece of our nation’s population. Biden is not only failing the unborn, but the “women in their maternity” as well.
