The Sanctuary of the Unborn Child is dedicated “to the 70 million unborn children that are killed every year worldwide.” Eighty-four children found aborted and thrown in rubbish dumps in Guayaquil, Ecuador, are buried here.

Andres Negri says the rosary every Saturday morning after Mass at this site. In the photo, he is joined by Alejandro and Araceli Garcia and their two children.

Alejandro was obligated to resign to his job in a pharmaceutical lab when he refused to sell the morning after pill. Unemployed for two months, Alejandro now is working for another lab earning 50% less but with a clear conscience. (Read Alejandro’s story in the July-August 2005 PRI Review, page 8.)
