Dear Steve Mosher
Peace in Jesus Christ!
The practice of abortion, artificial birth control, sterilization and a culture of secularism/materialism have caused out country and the Church serious problems. Only God reigns and we must serve. Because of the above we lack native-born children and hence need immigration and Catholic families need children to replenish the Church and give us priestly and religious vocations.
[We spread] our immoral habits abroad and it revolts Muslim countries especially. Our culture and survival as a prosperous nation needs Catholics to marry young, have more than two children, and preach the God-given glories of motherhood — a woman’s fertility is our greatest treasure and not the boardroom of business of politics.
Anthony D. Lutz, Virginia
Mr. Lutz,
We agree with you totally. Our bad habits of contraceptive use and sterilization are indeed killing our nation. As history has shown all over the world, religious vocations come from larger families. So if we continue to have small families, we will continue to have the priest and religious shortage we see growing in our country today.
Steven Mosher, PRI President
Although I agree with everything you said in the article [Pro-Abortion Side Considers Children] from a philosophical standpoint, I thought that no one was doing saline abortions any longer because of the risk to the mother and the threat of malpractice.
I am a hospice physician, so my credentials are not completely current on this but it would be a good idea to check it out. I know that they don’t do them here in Vancouver anyway, so it might be an idea to say “in some jurisdictions” or something like that.
Thanks for all your hard work.

Please read the China study published in the Chinese Medical Journal in 1998 showing how effective the Billings Ovulation Method is and how, in areas where the Method was taught, the abortion rate plummeted. Then talk about it in your newsletter. There will be more workshops on this Method in the upcoming CSW 51 in the UN at the beginning of March.
Yours sincerely,

I cannot read the barbaric methods of interfering with any prenatal child conceived in this land of freedom. According to our Bill of Rights every conceived citizen has the right to life, liberty and happiness! Abortion is not congruent with our Constitution. Any part of the body that moves requires nerves. Nerves indicate that there is pain long before 20 weeks. Not only do I feel that the unborn infant has pain, but I that he or she has pain significantly greater than we who have the defenses of tougher skin and not as tender parts. Abortion is barbaric, with or without anesthesia. The fact that the child wants to live is the most important issue. He or she is struggling to live and our laws should reflect that and give these babies a chance to a healthy full term pregnancy with regulated placement with heterosexual couples in traditional marriages.
Karma is scary for a nation that kills its own future. I am not surprised that we would elect to have a war where now our 18-year-olds are also snuffed out. The culture of death spreads like a cancer. It is wrong and any country that legislates such barbarism risks grievous payback,
The Bible says anyone who harms a child will wish they had never been born. We need to pray for the safety of all children, born and preborn as well for reparation for those whose condition led them to make such an awful decision. Also this is a country founded on Judeo-Christian law; it is not a Godless country; and we need to pray publicly for good peaceful reform for the culture of life and dignity restored. We need pray, who but God can get us out of this quagmire, we need the culture of Life restored.
