Population Research Institute:

I just re-read the Review for May-June 2004. What a wonderful, informative newsletter. I was impressed with all of it, but particularly happy to see the front-page article on Ronald Reagan. I will send copies to people on the abortion side. It certainly is well written.

Thank you for all you do.

God bless.

Dear Mr. Steven Mosher,

I wish to thank you for the work PRI is doing; an organization that has emerged to be the powerhouse of information for all pro-life groups across the globe. Thank you for the depth of research, the authority of presenting facts and the fascinating way of narrating events.

Personally, PRI documents serve as a rich source of information for discussions with people and reference materials for articles for publication. Thanks for a great job.

Dear Steve,

How are you? I am currently working on a project on infant mortality in the high fertility zone in India. Is it possible for you to send me the PRI report in hard copy regularly to my official address?

With regards,

Mr. Mosher,

I’m writing to personally thank you for your organization’s statement in support of the life of Terri Schiavo.

Since November of 2002 I have volunteered for the Terri Schindler Schiavo Foundation in the capacity of a media coordinator and spokesperson. In that time, I’ve witnessed many troubling developments and irregularities in Terri’s case. Possibly the most disturbing aspect is that the public has very little knowledge of how dangerous a precedent her case could create.

Your assertion that there is a marked difference between allowing a natural death to occur and causing an unnatural death is both eloquent in its very simplicity and utterly factual, It is my sincere hope that the public will take pause over this issue and begin to understand how unloving and criminal it truly is to pursue the deaths of those of us with lesser abilities.

I hear a great deal of talk about “autonomy” and “personal choice in dying” coming from the masses. I cannot help but think that people should be very, very careful of what they wish for.

Thank you again for your encouraging and important statement.

Dear Mr. Mosher,

I read your article on UNICEF “The Mask is Off,” on Catholic Exchange.

I’m 50 and grew up in the (United) Methodist Church. As a child, I trick-or-treated for UNICEF a number of times as part of a church project.

Many, many adults told me then that UNICEF was a subversive organization — Communist was the term they used. Back then we called people who talked against UNICEF “whackos” and “John Birchers.” They obviously were right.

My father was a well-meaning Methodist minister who had no idea his church would ask him to support a Communist organization.

Since I’ve been Catholic, it has become obvious to me that those in charge of most dioceses in this country have the same worldview (and theological view) as those in the national offices of the mainline Protestant denominations.

Maybe we should listen to the “whackos” now. What do you think?

God bless you and your work.

Dear Mr. Mallon,

I really enjoy reading your articles and I am very pleased to see that you speak about the beautiful Word of God and against abortions. I am 15 years old and I live in Victoria, B.C., Canada. I was not raised to believe in such a “security blanket” as God, but I feel it is the truth. This whole issue of abortion really bothers me. People close to me have gone through the abortion process for good reason of course. But I still can’t help but feel horrible about the thought of killing an unborn child in the stomach of its mother.

And I think these Democrats are completely wrong and I’m glad you speak your thoughts on that. You have reached me even though I am very young and I hope you reach others also. I’m sure you do.

Population Research Institute,

I just ran across your website, linked from Matercare International. Never heard of it before and I was a bit wary of the title, but I got into it. Great site, well written, thoughtful and very professional. God bless you for the very important work you are all doing!
