Get the U.S. Out of the United Nations Population Fund

The U.S. Government wastes billions on programs and initiatives that American taxpayers don’t want and certainly don’t need. But no example of government waste is more disgraceful than the tens of millions of dollars handed over each year to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)—an organization that for decades has been working hand-in-glove with China’s brutal and repressive population control policy. With the exception of the Obama administration, every other administration since the Reagan administration …

Peruvian Victims Still Wait For Justice

Twenty-five years after hundreds of thousands of women were forcibly or coercively sterilized in Peru, these victims are still waiting for justice. A recent decree issued by the Peruvian Justice Ministry may help these women receive reparation for the crimes committed against them. The politics of abortion is complicating this process, however. Many pro-aborts in Peru who once supported the sterilization campaign are now perversely attempting the use the issue to leverage support for legalizing …

The UN Continues to Push a Radical Abortion Agenda

The new UN report on women makes for grim reading, if you can decipher it. The reason that you may have trouble doing so is that the report, called the World Survey on the Role of Women in Development 2014: Gender Equality and Sustainable Development, is written in a kind of code. Words and expressions are used that sound reasonable—what could be wrong with “gender equality,” for example?—but which, in the femspeak used by the …

Justice Denied in Peru’s Sterilization Campaign

Fifteen years ago, Peruvian President Alberto Fujimori, with the strong encouragement of the Clinton administration, ordered a nationwide sterilization campaign. At least 300,000 women were sterilized by “mobile sterilization teams” on a Chinese model, many under duress. Some died. PRI sent a team of investigators into the country, documented the abuses, and held press conferences and congressional hearings in the U.S. and Peru. Because of our work, the sterilization campaign ground to a halt. But Fujimori and …

Cutting Foreign Aid to Save Lives

Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) such as UNICEF and CARE Australia are up in arms over the new Australian Prime Minister’s plan to reduce foreign aid by $4.5 billion. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, they claim that such cuts will come at “expense of children’s lives."[1] Worse yet, they will compromise the commitments under the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Now we’re not really concerned about feeding the U.N. bureaucracy, so we’ll leave that organization’s vaguer MDG’s—such things …

Your Unwilling Contribution to the UNFPA

You probably didn’t know it, but some of the money extracted from your paycheck by the IRS winds up in China, where it is used to fund that country’s population control programs.  Here’s how it works: The United States gives money to the UNFPA. Last year this largess came to $30,200,000. The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), in turn, gives money to China. Last year some $4,861,000 went to China for so-called “population dynamics programs,” …
