New York State to Allow Abortion up to Birth

A new law passed by the New York State legislature last Tuesday would keep abortion legal up to the point of birth should the U.S. Supreme Court overturn its Roe v. Wade decision. Euphemistically titled the Reproductive Health Act (RHA), the bill codifies Roe v. Wade in state law, keeping abortion legal at any point after 24 weeks into the pregnancy up until birth in cases of “health.” The RHA also goes far beyond Roe, …

House Democrats Push for a Repeal of the Mexico City Policy

While our nation is distracted by the hue and cry over border security, the newly installed Democrat majority in the House of Representatives has quietly voted to repeal President Trump’s “Mexico City Policy.” “Speaker Pelosi and company are eager to resume funding organizations like International Planned Parenthood Federation that perform or promote abortion in foreign countries,” says Population Research Institute President Steven Mosher. “This despite the fact that most Americans want nothing to do with …

Last Friday, Southern District Court of Indiana Judge Tanya Walton Pratt placed a permanent injunction on several pro-life state laws. Pratt’s ruling overturns a number of provisions in the Indiana Code banning sex-selective abortion, terminations targeting the unborn diagnosed with Down syndrome and other disabilities, and abortions performed on the sole …

Pro-Life Provisions in the Senate Health Care Reform Bill

Last week, Senate Republicans unveiled their proposed health care reform draft bill to “repeal and replace Obamacare.” The Senate has made a number of significant changes to the bill passed by the House last month, but, despite earlier concerns from some pro-life advocates, has retained key provisions to defund Planned Parenthood and to block federal subsidies for health care plans that include coverage for abortion. The Senate bill has been titled the Better Care Reconciliation …

House Votes to Defund Planned Parenthood

The House passed a bill on Thursday which would bar most federal funding for Planned Parenthood for the period of one year. The bill would also restrict federal subsidies for health insurance plans that include abortion coverage. The pro-life provisions were included as a part of the American Health Care Act of 2017 (H.R. 1628), the GOP’s bill to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act (a.k.a. “Obamacare”). “Yesterday’s vote in the House brings us …

New IPPF Report Gloats Over New Abortion Numbers

The International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) reports that its affiliates ended the lives of nearly one million unborn children in 2015. In all 964,325, unborn children were terminated by chemical and surgical abortion by IPPF just last year alone. A million of anything is a staggering number. But the loss of nearly a million children by surgical or chemical abortion is a tragedy beyond reckoning. If you were to read off the names of IPPF’s …
