Dear President Trump,
America’s birth rate has fallen to 1.62 children per woman—far below the 2.1 needed for long-term prosperity, a robust workforce, and solvent entitlement programs.
The primary intellectual engine behind today’s anti-natal mindset is the 1972 Commission on Population Growth and the American Future, whose report declared that “no substantial benefits will result from further growth of the Nation’s population.”
That report was wrong then, and its lingering influence is harmful now.
We therefore urge you to sign the executive order “Disavowing the 1972 Commission on Population Growth and Promoting America’s Demographic Future.”*
By signing, you would:
- Formally repudiate the 1972 Commission’s conclusions and bar federal agencies from citing or relying on them.
- Purge outdated “over-population” material from all government websites, curricula, and grant guidance.
- Launch a Task Force on Demographic Renewal to craft pro-family, pro-natal policies that rebuild America’s population strength without over-reliance on immigration.
A growing America is a strong America. Please act now.
