PRI in the Media

Save Our Nation: In this piece from his blog on LifeSiteNews, PRI President Steven Mosher encourages others to get involved in local politics, as he and his wife have in the past year. For the past decade, the corrosion of democracy in the U.S. has escalated, eliciting an urgent need for solutions. According to Mosher, “The only way to defeat the surveillance state and its political henchmen is through a nationwide campaign starting at the grassroots. We must go county-by-county and state-by-state to take control of the Republican Party organization, root out the RINOs, and put up good conservative candidates to win local elections.”

Deepening Depopulation

The Population Implosion: Catholic Journalist Phil Lawler has joined the ranks in calling out the population crisis that the world is heading into. He begins with the startling fact that for the first time ever the world will have more human beings over 65 than under 5. Despite this major demographic shift, the world’s high population is still used as fodder for inaccurate overpopulation propaganda.

Communist China

Media Infiltration: Radio Free Asia shared a report detailing the CCP’s acceleration of its campaign to sway foreign media. The report’s data, which analyzed these efforts from January 2019 until December 2021, showed that the CCP upped its global media footprint in thirty countries, including Taiwan.

“The Chinese Communists are spending tens of billions of dollars on propaganda efforts overseas,” says PRI President Steven Mosher.  “This is many, many times what the US spends on the Voice of America and other outreach efforts.  Their efforts are part of China’s unrestricted warfare against the U.S.”

Drowning Out Posts: Authorities in Xinjiang admitted to the shortages of food and medicine in the area, but censors are still trying to cover up this truth on social media. Posts about local cuisine and scenery are flooding social media platforms to dilute the enormous number of posts sharing the reality of lockdown in the area.

A Papal Trip to China?: In one of his classic papal plane interviews, Pope Francis shared that he is ready for the first papal visit to China. Coincidentally, both the Holy Father and Xi Jinping are in Kazakhstan, a country in Central Asia, this week but it is unlikely that their paths will cross further.

“Pope Francis has long cherished the hope that he will one day be allowed to visit the Communist giant,” says PRI President Steven Mosher.  “I think it unlikely that he will ever receive an invitation, however.  The Communist Party is not only atheistic, its ideology of ‘socialism with Chinese characteristics’ along with the ‘Thought of Xi Jinping,’ constitutes a de facto religion, and one which the CCP wants all Chinese to believe in. There is no room with compromise for the Catholic Church in this formulation.”

UN Misdeeds

UN Manipulation: Twenty-one delegations in the General Assembly called out Western delegations for their efforts to impose sexual agendas and ideology on UN proceedings and resolutions. This mass response was sparked by a UN General Assembly bill for survivors of sexual violence that included a paragraph pushing abortion as a human right, along with the promotion of homosexuality and transgenderism.

Science Gone Mad

Surrogacy Vultures: The war in Ukraine hasn’t stopped surrogacy agencies within the country, in fact, it has improved their business. Government paperwork for the process has been reduced and the number of women willing to become surrogates has increased. These companies, properly labeled “vultures” by activist Maria Dmytriyeva, prey on vulnerable women, many of whom would not consider selling their bodies in such a way if they were not desperate to provide for their families.

“We pray that the war in Ukraine ends quickly,” says PRI President Steven Mosher.  “It has resulted in the destitution of millions of people, the creation of a huge pool of orphans, and a number of families turning to surrogacy to survive.”

Pro-Life Around the World

Bishops Call on Cubans: At the end of this month, a referendum will be held in Cuba to determine whether the new Family Code will replace the current code established in 1975. Cuban Bishops expressed their disappointment that this Family Code, which condones and supports gender ideology, homosexuality, and unethical assisted human reproductive techniques, made it through the National Assembly of People’s Power and to referendum.

Assisted Suicide in Scotland: Last Thursday, a member of the Scottish Parliament turned in the final proposal for the Assisted Dying for Terminally Ill Adults bill. For liberal democrat Liam MacArthur’s bill to proceed, he will need majority support from other parliamentarians. But the Catholic Church in Scotland is urging all members of parliament to learn of the intrinsic dangers and negative effects seen in other countries before supporting such a bill.

Pro-Life on the Home Front

Roe’s Leaker Revealed?: It’s been four months since the Roe v. Wade draft leak, and the leaker is still unknown. Though opinions vary on whether the individual’s identity will ever be known, Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch shared his hopes that the investigation will be completed soon and the identity revealed.

According to PRI President Steven Mosher, “This effort to derail the overthrow of Roe v. Wade failed, but it did put enormous pressure on the conservative justices on the Supreme Court, not to mention weakened the institution as a whole. There is no doubt that the leaker was part of the radical left wing of the Court and was perhaps one of the justices themselves.  There were three Leftist ideologues then serving—Breyer, Sotomayor, or Kagan.  None of them have any respect for the Constitution or for institutional norms.  That’s why Obama and Clinton nominated them.”

PP’s Annual Report: Planned Parenthood released its annual report for 2021 and it confirmed that abortion is their focus, not the health of women. Their abortion numbers were up almost 10% compared to the previous year, while all other services fell between 14% and 40%.

“Planned Parenthood is one of the wealthiest ‘nonprofits’ in America, with an endowment of over a billion dollars,” says PRI President Steven Mosher.  “The killing of unborn babies has been a very lucrative business for them.  Not only do they collect money from the women they victimize, but they are also subsidized by federal, state, and local governments.  At the same time, they are one of the largest contributors to the Democrat Party, which helps to keep the taxpayer subsidies coming.”

Meddling in Veterans Affairs: The Biden administration is pushing abortion access in any way they can, and their newest outlet is the Department of Veterans Affairs. This will enable VA hospitals to offer abortions, even in states where the procedure is illegal.

“The new rule from the Department of Veterans Affairs will allow veterans and their beneficiaries to receive abortions in VA hospitals. And not just for cases involving rape or incest or to save the life of the mother, which would be problematic enough. The rule also includes a health exception. This means that the VA will be performing abortions on demand.   Emotional, psychological, and familial health have all been used to allow abortions,” says PRI President Steven Mosher

No More Mom and Dad: Departments of Public Health across the United States are opting for the removal of “Mother” and “Father” from medical forms. Instead, states, such as Connecticut, are replacing these titles with “Birth Parent” and “Non-Birth Parent.”

“Any normal person understands that babies have a father and a mother,” says PRI President Steven Mosher. “The pandering to fringe gender benders must stop.”

WV Abortion Ban: Victory was won in West Virginia this past week when the Legislature passed its sweeping abortion ban. Republicans in the state hope that it will be enough to stop the state’s only abortion clinic from providing the procedure. The ban does offer exceptions for victims of rape and incest, with stipulations, and for medical emergencies.

Good News

Supporting Premature Babies: Fifteen years ago, Liam Lyttle was born prematurely at 22 weeks and 6 days. He became his family’s “complete miracle” after surviving several blood transfusions, a brain hemorrhage, and four months in the hospital. Now, and since he was 10, Liam climbs mountains to raise money for charities that support sick and premature babies.

Quote of the Day

“We have problems in our country, and many are praying and waiting for God to do something.  I just wonder if maybe God is waiting for us to do something.  And while no one is capable of doing everything.  Everyone is capable of doing something.”
