A Message from PRI President Steven Mosher

You’ve probably heard Abby Johnson’s graphic, gut-wrenching story about what she experienced when she killed her baby using the abortion pill.

But hers isn’t the only story. These are just a few we’ve heard:

  • Natalia’s boyfriend hounded her to take the abortion pill against her will. Natalia said, “That night was so hard. I remember throwing up at 1:00 a.m. The physical pain feels like you’re being stabbed in the stomach. I looked down and saw him [the baby]. It wasn’t like a heavy period. It was like a baby.”
  • Emily said, “I woke up vomiting, and I vomited all day until I wished I were dead. Severe cramping, bleeding, and more vomiting ensued within 30 minutes of taking the misoprostol. The unbearable pain continued for several hours.”
  • Nelle said, “It hurt like crazy, and I’ve never been more nauseated and in pain in my life. I was a sweaty, bloody, crying mess.”

The abortion pill is now used in six out of ten abortions in America—and women are being told it’s safe and simple.

But thousands are suffering serious complications.

Commercial insurance data from more than 865,000 women shows that roughly 94,000 experienced severe complications—such as hemorrhaging or sepsis—within 45 days.

That’s a serious complication rate of 11 percent; over 20 times riskier than the FDA previously claimed!

That’s why PRI is launching an urgent campaign calling on Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and FDA Commissioner Martin A. Makary to withdraw approval of the abortion pill in light of this alarming safety data.

Our action plan has two prongs: political pressure to clamp down on the abortion pill, and a massive educational outreach about the risks and dangers of the pill.

Will you help us protect women and babies from the abortion pill?

This opportunity has been a long-time coming.

Please help us clamp down on today’s most popular abortion method: the abortion pill.

Yours for Life,

Steven W. Mosher
