China calls its efforts to acquire U.S. intellectual property on the cheap the “Thousand Talents” program.  A better name for it would be the “Thousand Traitors” program. How else would you describe scientists and researchers at leading universities whose cutting-edge research is paid for by U.S. taxpayers who turn around and sell it to China on the cheap?

Chinese espionage does not only use traditional intelligence officers.  PRC scientists and students who come to the U.S. are told to keep their eyes open for any technology that may be useful to the motherland.  They are also told that government loans will be available to commercialize anything useful they manage to steal.
