PRI in the Media

Fauci’s Five Mistakes: Commemorating Dr. Anthony Fauci’s coming retirement, PRI President Steven Mosher reviewed the critical mistakes Fauci made during the COVID-19 pandemic. By using incorrect algorithms to predict the spread and wasting resources on pointless (and in some cases, dangerous) policies, Fauci caused damage to the nation’s economy and people, the effects of which are still felt today.

Deepening Depopulation

Global Density Visualized: A creative thread on Twitter illustrated that a vast amount of land on Earth is unpopulated. Figures in major cities cry “overpopulation,” when the reality is that they simply live in an area with a high population density. As PRI has shared for years, there is plenty of land and resources for all the people on Earth and many more.

“PRI has long argued that the entire population of the world could fit in the state of Texas,” says PRI President Steven Mosher.  “We at PRI kind of like Texas the way it is, of course, but want to illustrate that the world is still a mostly empty place.  Here is another illustration of how sparse the human population of the planet actually is.”

Communist China

The Fight for Space: The CCP has been catching up to the United States rapidly with its Space technology and capabilities. General John Raymond warns that without codified rules for Space, China poses a threat to the many U.S. systems in orbit.

An Academic Purge: China’s largest academic database is facing a CCP-ordered purge. Although all the articles on the database are screened and approved, the CCP continues to fear the outside use of their data by foreign researchers.

“The ChiComs have identified a number of threats to their continued rule,” says PRI President Steven Mosher. “Among these are an accurate account of their bloody history and their deadly ideology. It is now purging its own databases to make sure that everybody stays on script.”

UN Misdeeds

Royals for Abortion: Prince Harry, the notorious disgraced royal, continued his family’s long tradition of pushing population control. Appointed to make a speech to the United Nations for Mandela Day, the prince used his platform to focus on abortion and climate change. This is not the first time that Prince Harry has shared anti-life opinions and it is unlikely to be the last.

“I can hardly think of anyone less qualified to address the U.N. than the disgraced younger son of Prince Charles,” says PRI President Steven Mosher.  “Not to mention that he is opining on subjects he knows nothing about—American democracy and climate change.  Harry Windsor’s family has a history of supporting abortion and population control.”

Science Gone Mad

Making Ideology Mainstream: The World Health Organization announced upcoming changes to their manual covering transgender ideology. The WHO claims that the “gender mainstreaming” manual will be updated based on new scientific evidence, but in reality, it will only reflect the political shift of the last decade.

“Ten years ago I went on a lecture tour in Spain,” says PRI President Steven Mosher. “A Spanish professor told me about her new book about gender ideology in which she told me that its advocates were claiming that there were no less than 76 different genders. We both laughed at the insanity of it. It is no laughing matter today, with the Biden administration putting the power of the federal government behind this nonsense.”

Pro-Life Around the World

Abortion in Sierra Leone: Julius Maada Bio, President of Sierra Leone, is bringing abortion to his country under the guise of “progressive reform.” If passed, the “Risk-Free Motherhood” bill will decriminalize abortion in this country, where the procedure has been illegal, in all cases except for risk to the mother’s life, since 1861.

India’s First March: This August, India will hold its first annual March for Life in the nation’s capital of New Delhi. Many are expected to come in protest of the Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act of 1971 which, as of 2021, allows the procedure for up to 24 weeks.

Pro-Life on the Home Front

Correction from last week’s Insider in “Pregnancy Center Pops Up”: The name of the new clinic in New Mexico, opened by the same owner and executive director of the Jackson Women’s Health Organization, is not Whole Women’s Health Center. It is Las Cruces Women’s Health Organization, nicknamed the Pink House West.

For Abortion, Not Choice: Since the overturn of Roe v. Wade, “pro-choicers” have made it clearer than ever that they are actually “pro-abortion,” not choice. This was apparent in last week’s testimony on the effects of the Dobbs ruling from abortion activist Renee Bracey Sherman. She claimed abortion is necessary because it is the preferable alternative to letting those infants live in the “unimaginable hellscape” that is America.

“Pro-choice has always meant pro-abortion.” says Steven Mosher. Back from China in the early 80s, I went to see the head of the National Organization of Women, thinking that she and her organization would be sympathetic to the plight of women in China who were being forced to have abortions.  A clear violation of their ‘pro-choice’ principles, or so I thought.

After showing her and her senior leadership evidence—including pictures—of forced abortions in China, I asked her to speak out on behalf of her sisters in China.  She demurred, saying ‘I’m personally opposed to forced abortion but, after all, China does have a population problem.’

The radical left is not pro-choice, it is an anti-human movement that is pro-forced abortion, pro-forced sterilization, pro-forced population control.”

Indiana’s Special Session: Indiana is currently a hub for the fight for Life, as protesters gather around the statehouse. While Republicans fight to ban abortion from the moment of implantation (with exceptions for rape, incest, and life of the mother) inside, pro-lifers represent and defend the decision outside. With the overturn of Roe, similar battles will be waged in states around the nation.

Good News

Saved by Cuddles: A Yorkshire mother saved the life of her premature daughter through kangaroo care cuddles. Baby Elsie Dutton was born just days shy of 24 weeks (the age at which babies are still eligible for abortion in the UK), weighing only “slightly more than a tin of baked beans.” Ultimately Elsie spent five months in the hospital before she was strong enough to go home with her parents and big brother.

Quote of the Week

“The modern Christian family is often tempted to be discouraged and is distressed at the growth of its difficulties; it is an eminent form of love to give it back its reasons for confidence in itself, in the riches that it possesses by nature and grace, and in the mission that God has entrusted to it.”

~ Pope Saint John Paul II, Familiaris Consortio
