Editor’s Note: The National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) surprised nearly everyone, including us here at PRI, by taking a position in favor of the Global Warming hoax. PRI and NAE have in the past been on the same side in the struggle to defend life and protect the family in the U.S. and around the world. PRI President Steve Mosher wrote the below letter to NEA President Ted Haggard and Washington representative Rich Cizik urging them to reconsider:

Dear Ted,
I see you have taken a position on Global Warming. So have we at Population Research Institute.
Mine is based upon a review of the scientific literature, which I published in the PRI Review as “Global Warming: Hot Tales and Cold Facts” (PRI Review January—February 2004, page 2).
I went through a Ph.D. program in Oceanography some years ago which gave me the scientific background necessary to evaluate the competing claims. I was a National Science Foundation Fellow at Stanford University.
This is the latest scary story from the radical environmentalists and global government types to frighten us into costly government programs that greatly enhance the power of national governments and international agencies. At the same time, of course, both these agencies and programs will weaken families and encourage anti-natal policies.
You would be well-advised to keep your distance from these charlatans. They do not wish us Christians well.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Steven W. Mosher
