Correspondence

Dear Mr. Mosher,

Many months ago, I received literature from PRI that contained a beautiful picture of Our Lady of China (OLC). Having a suitable image of OLC could remind us to pray for the people of China, for their religious persecution and for those who have to leave their homes and families in order to obtain work (especially young Chinese women who have to work long hours and live in dormitories.)

Blessings,

Patricia H., Florissant, Missouri

Dear Steve,

What a book [Population Control: Real Costs, Illusory
Benefits
]! I was so surprised Monday after our hospital volunteer
work to come home to open up this treasure. Now this old lady will
need much time to read what is real truth.

Our Lord said “Peace he unto you” on Easter, We have a hard time finding it now. However all those Masses since the Last Supper are stronger than our weakness. God bless you always. He has given you much, and you are giving back.

Dear Steve,

It is heartening to know that PRI is continuing the superb work begun by Fr. Paul Marx in the defense of human life. Your remarkable record in all parts of the world has given hope to the hopeless and life to millions who would have otherwise been forgotten and abandoned.

There has to be a special place in Heaven for all who work so hard in defense of the unborn.

Thank you for all you have done for the most helpless among us and the most deserving.

William Vogt’s book Road to Survival, 1948, quotes Dr. George B. Cressey on page 217, “… the world is now full…”

…On page 211, Vogt has as the basis of NSSM200 “Any aid we give should be made contingent on national programs leading towards population stabilization through voluntary action of the people.” Vogt talks about “carrying capacity” and “sustainability.”

Do you have any writings on this Vogt who used to be president of Planned Parenthood? I would appreciate any info you have on him. Is it possible to obtain hack issues of your newsletters?

In Christ, the Life,

Roger B., Rome, New York

Roger,

In my latest book, Population Control: Real Costs, Illusory Benefits, I have a section on Vogt.

Back issues of the PRI Review are available online at wwwv.www.pop.org.
