Help Provide Ultrasound Machines to African Countries

A message from PRI president, Steven Mosher

I had to write you this letter today to tell you about a grave matter of the utmost urgency.

Right now, dedicated Catholic nurses and physicians in Cameroon, Nigeria and Somalia are begging PRI to donate ultrasound machines to counter the Bill Gates/Planned Parenthood abortion juggernaut. I can’t leave them in the lurch during this crisis.

You see, Bill and his baby killing pals working in Africa are now working in lock- step with Biden’s population control fanatics. These combined forces have more funding and manpower than ever before to wreak destruction on babies in the womb.

Bill and the other abortion fanatics are bloodthirsty. They’re dead serious about population control, and they adore abortion. They’ve turned Africa into a slaughter pen.

The solution to this carnage is to expand our ultrasound donation project, which will hand the baby killers a defeat every time one of our ultrasound machines saves a baby.

Prepare to be shocked. Incredible as it sounds, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is pouring $1.4 billion into Africa — that’s BILLION with a “B.” That’s an astounding amount of money!

At least when President Trump was in office he clipped the wings of the federal government’s international abortion outreach. Wasn’t it great to have a president who actually kept all of his pro-life promises? No president in U.S. history has been more pro- life than Trump!

But now that Biden sits — dazed and confused — in the Oval Office, his puppeteers are funneling rivers of tax money to kill as many African babies as possible. This is a bloodbath.

It’s up to you and me and the other friends of PRI to counter Planned Parenthood’s massive slaughter of the innocents in Africa. Thank God we’re in a position to do so!

Last month, thanks to your prayers and gifts, we shipped three more ultrasound machines for delivery to Burkina Faso, Brazzaville-Congo, and Tanzania. But we need to donate many more machines to meet the need!

Indeed, the need is vast. We have more requests for ultrasound machine donations than we can fulfill. Funds permitting, our goal is to donate one more ultrasound machine per month. Each machine we donate will immediately start saving babies from abortion — eventually thousands of babies.

Pregnant mother says
“I could hear the heartbeat, which sounded like horses galloping: da-dum-da-dum-da-dum”

Let me tell you some stories that prove the ultrasound machine is our most powerful baby-saving tool.

One young abortion-bound pregnant mother was shown a living image of her baby on an ultrasound screen. She said, “I could see the hands and the feet, and I could hear the heartbeat. It sounded like horses galloping — da-dum-da-dum-da-dum. If I wouldn’t have seen the sonogram and my baby moving, I would have done it [had the abortion].”

The ultrasound image instantly changed her from being pro-abortion to pro-life.

But these rural mothers—who have been giving birth under trees!— need your help today!

The location of the hospital in Somalia is in a rural area situated approximately
150 km north of the capital. The surrounding community is rural, with limited access to healthcare facilities and services. The community may rely heavily on agriculture or other primary industries for their livelihoods.

A touching story involves a family at the rural hospital who, thanks to the center’s services, experienced a successful birth despite facing challenges. However, the presence of the center has transformed birthing experiences in rural Somalia. Families used to give birth under trees, but now they have a safe place to receive care. Having ultrasound machines would greatly benefit expecting families, enabling them to plan ahead and determine if they need to travel 150 km to the nearest hospital with surgical equipment, or if the baby is healthy for a regular birth here at the center.

One poignant example of the critical need for an ultrasound machine involves a woman experiencing complications during childbirth at the rural hospital. Without access to ultrasound, the medical team struggles to diagnose and manage a placental issue. Tragically, the lack of diagnostic tools limits their ability to provide timely and appropriate care. Regrettably, the baby does not survive and sometimes neither does the mother.

This heart-wrenching scenario underscores the urgent necessity of an ultrasound machine to save lives and prevent such devastating outcomes in the future.

Consider this. Each time an ultrasound machine persuades a pregnant mother to choose life, Planned Parenthood suffers a crushing defeat. No wonder the Planned Parenthood abortionists hate our ultrasound project so much.

You’re our partner in saving babies from the slaughter

Let me thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me place ultrasound machines in 12 countries. The number of babies you’ve helped us save by supporting the ultrasound project is well into the thousands and increases every day.

You can take this to the bank: I couldn’t have placed so many baby-saving ultrasound scanners in poor countries without the prayers and gifts of friends like you. You’re our partner in this glorious work. Angels rejoice whenever a baby is saved.

Considering the crisis at hand and the urgency of the requests from Africa, I’m praying you’ll consider helping me place more ultrasound scanners where they’re most needed.

These machines are expensive — about $17,500 each. They’re made in America, not in communist China. The more funds I raise, the more machines I can buy and ship to nuns and other dedicated Catholic healthcare workers.

Your prayerful and financial support will help me raise the $63,700 that’s needed to buy ultrasound machines and keep our other pro-life projects running. If we had the resources of Planned Parenthood, we could raise these essential funds with just a few quick phone calls to wealthy contributors. But PRI does not have that luxury.

Instead — and we are very honored by this — we raise the funds we need through voluntary, sacrificial gifts from dear friends like you — gifts of $50 … $75 … $100 … $150 … $250 … and $500.

Occasionally we are blessed with larger gifts of $1,000 … $1,500 … and $2,500 but almost one hundred percent of our ultrasound project funds come from gifts of $50, $100, $250 and amounts in between. So every single gift counts — no exceptions!

Will you make one of those sacrifices now, regardless of the amount? One more thing about your gift: All support is tax-deductible.

Yours in defense of life, Faith & family,

Steven W. Mosher,
President Population Research Institute
