At long last, the Population Research Institute is proud to present the Map of Shame. The purpose of the Map of Shame is to expose the United States Agency for International Development's (USAID) involvement in and sponsorship of population control programs worldwide.

Using this map, you will be able to see how much money was requested for use in various programs in every country where USAID is currently active. The three figures presented in each country represent different programs supported by USAID: 1) money requested for use in population control activities, 2) money requested for use in health activities, and 3) money requested for use in food assistance programs. In many cases, the money requested for use in population activities grossly exceeds that of money designated for use in health care or food assistance programs where the money could be used to improve the lives of the women and families everywhere.
